just talking to praveen (with an unpronouncable surname) from my good 'ol high school, Trinity Grammar on msn now... i haven't talked to him in at least a year...


excerpt from conversation:
"So far Nudge has gone into postgraduate Dentistry temporarily studying up in Sydney and down in the holidays, Usman has returned from Iran to continue and finish his arts degree, Gavin graduated early this year in computer science, Scott Seng graduated this year in Science, Murray (or Stewart) had announced his homosexuality last year (have to confirm the names with Nudge)

Binh has finally been removed forcefully off the Monash premises due to unforseen circumstances by the board of exclusions"

Another of the guys had joined the army, another had gone and done music, another one had gone and gotten married, one went back to do Singaporean National Service, haven't heard from him since...


conversations like these just make you think...

you all started from roughly the same place, having roughly the same opportunities and wearing the exact same damn clothes (*singing, the green and the gold and the miiiiitre)

but the vastly differing paths that we've all ended up on... it almost makes you stop, in an acknowledgement, to the very depth of life
