and on the topic of growth

dunno... there's just something that doesn't sit right about the whole emphasis on the multiplication process for growth, what we learnt tonight @ cell...

it just seems so cold, heartless...so Amway. More of a way just to reach an end?

the sums work out, the process is logical, but it's the exact same stuff a large enough company will communicate during management training, exactly the same

and it just doesn't seem right... to grow a church in the same way u grow a company - I dunno, I would have just thought u concentrate on relationships... not on making them, but enjoying them... and through that, they would naturally grow?

natural communities, like the YA initially under Jensen... not manufactured ones, where events are held to meet, greet, shake hands, kiss the babies... plastic smiles, hidden agendas...

but communities where there is true community - I could just imagine Jesus hangin' with the pro's, hanging with the tax collectors, and genuinely having a great time... enjoying the beautiful people they really were down deep... and the people because of that also having a great time... and a community grows

u dun grow love by forcing yourself to talk to someone - u spend so much time with God, u grow a relationship with God that's so overwhelming that there's so much love there that it can't help but come out...

...rather than teaching strategies, shouldn't we be helping people grow that deeper love from within...
